As business increasing rapidly, the hiring demand of 2010 is very challenging for Continental’s HR department. In July of 2010, we began to provide RPO service to Continental.


Solution
Assigned 2 consultants to on-site support client’s recruitment process and 8 back-office researchers for candidate searching:
1. On-site consultants: managed the whole recruitment process including face to face recruitment understood the hiring managers’ requirements, arranged interviews, face-to-face interviewed candidates together with line managers ect.
2. Back-office researchers: searched & interviewed candidates in the first round.

It’s mainly to support global product R & D of dashboard, multi-function display, air-conditioning switch, key remote control, electronic clock and solenoid valves and other auto electronic products.

Shanghai Johnson Controls Automotive Electronics Co., Ltd partnered with Career Magic RPO to manage its R & D department recruiting, more than 60 opening, such as EE, SW, System, TPL and ect.


Challenges

1. Location: Shanghai Johnson Controls Automotive Electronics Co., Ltd located at Kangqiao industrial park without  convenient transportation.

2. Company background: it’s a JV plant which is not more attractive than the WOFE company.

3. Product: its main product is cluster which is not more attractive than other automotive electronic products.


Solution

1. Set up a team including 1 consultant and 5 researchers with considerable search experience to full-time handle this project.

2. Expanded the talent search from automotive electronics to telecom industry, from Shanghai to other cities out of Shanghai.

3. Suggested HR to add one new shuttle bus which covers People Square.
